คำกริยา - วิเศษณ์ ในภาษาไทย

ในภาษาอังกฤษ part of speech มันชัดเจน
เช่นจะพูดว่า เขาจน ก็พูดว่า He is poor.
เนื่องจาก poor เป็น adjective ไม่ใช่ verb จึงต้องมี verb to be นำหน้า
แต่พอมาถึงภาษาไทยบ้าง มีกฎว่า จะเป็นประโยคได้ ต้องมีประธาน + กริยา
แล้วประโยค เขาจน เป็นประโยคหรือเปล่า ?
เพราะคำว่า จน ในความหมายว่า อัตคัดขัดสน, ฝืดเคือง, มีเงินไม่พอยังชีพ
ตามพจนานุกรมของราชบัณฑิตย์ เป็นได้เพียงคำวิเศษณ์ (adjective) ไม่ใช่คำกริยา
เพราะฉะนั้น คำว่า เขาจน ซึ่งมีคำว่า เขา เป็น ประธาน บวกกับคำว่า จน ซึ่งไม่ใช่คำกริยา
จึงไม่สามารถเป็น ประโยคได้
แต่ผมเชื่ออย่างแนบแน่นว่า เขาจน เป็นประโยคได้
แม้จะไม่มีคำกริยาก็ตาม
หรือถ้าพูดอีกอย่างหนึ่ง
ในภาษาไทยนั้น มันยากที่จะกำหนดลงไปอย่างเด็ดขาดว่า คำ ๆ นี้เป็นคำกริยา หรือคำวิเศษณ์ เท่านั้น
นี่เป็นความเห็นส่วนตัวของผมเท่านั้นครับ
