We don’t use at with the questionWhat time …? in informal situations: ไม่ใช้ at เมื่อถามเวลาว่า กี่โมง

• What time are you leaving? (preferred to At what time are you leaving?)

We useon:ใช้ on
· with dates:ใช้ on กับวันที่

• We moved into this house on 25 October 1987.

· with a singular day of the week to refer to one occasion:ใช้ on กับวัน ในสัปดาห์

• I’ve got to go to London on Friday.

· with a plural day of the week to refer to repeated events: ใช้ on กับวัน ในสัปดาห์โดยเติม s หมายถึงวันนั้นทุกวัน,

• The office is closed on Fridays.(every Friday)

In informal situations, we often leave out on before plural days: แต่ในภาษาไม่เป็นทางการ บ่อยครั้งที่ ไม่ใส่ on

• Do you work Saturdays?

· with special dates:ใช้ on กับวันพิเศษ เช่น วันเกิด

• What do you normally do on your birthday?

We usein:ใช้ in

• I’ll come and see you in the morning for a cup of coffee, okay?

• We usually go camping in July or August.

· with seasons:ใช้ in กับ ฤดู

• The garden is wonderful in the spring when all the flowers come out.

· with long periods of time:ใช้ in กับช่วงเวลาที่ยาวนาน เช่น ศตวรรษ

• The population of Europe doubled in the nineteenth century.
