จำนวนคนประท้วงในกรุงเทพ มีกี่คนกันแน่?

สวัสดีครับ
ผมรู้สึกตลกทุกครั้งที่สื่อมวลชนต่างค่าย ต่างสำนัก รายงานจำนวนผู้เดินขบวน เป็นจำนวนที่ต่างกันมาก ๆ เช่น ชุมนุมที่เดียวกัน บางฉบับบอกว่ามีคนร่วมชุมนุมเป็นพัน แต่อีกฉบับหนึ่งบอกว่าเป็นแสน อ้าว! นี่มันเท่าไหร่กันแน่?
ที่จริงเรื่องนี้ไม่น่าจะเป็นปัญหาคลาดเคลื่อนกันมากมายเลย เพราะเราพอจะคำนวณได้ไม่ยากว่า พื้นที่ตั้งแต่หัวถนนถึงสุดถนนมันกี่ตารางเมตร และถ้าคนยืนหรือนั่ง ใน 3 ลักษณะ คือ 1)อย่างหลวม ๆ 2)อย่างกลาง ๆ 3)อย่างแน่น ๆ มันตกตารางเมตรละประมาณกี่คน และเมื่อมองจากมุมบนลงมา ก็รู้ได้ไม่ยากว่า ทั้งหมดมันควรจะมีสักกี่คน นี่เป็นหลักวิทยาศาสตร์ล้วน ๆ ไม่ต้องใช้การเดา ไม่ต้องเอาความรู้สึกชอบหรือเกลียดเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้องเลย
แต่ก็อย่างที่รู้กัน สื่อหลายแห่งรับจ้างเขียน เราคนอ่านก็เลยลังเลว่าควรจะเชื่อใครกันแน่ ครั้นไปอ่านสื่อต่างประเทศก็อาจจะแย่พอกัน เพราะเราก็รู้ว่า หลายสื่อต่างประเทศก็ถูกซื้อเช่นกัน
แม้แต่คนที่เข้าไปร่วมชุมนุมก็อาจจะคำนวณจำนวนได้ยาก เพราะเราอาจจะไม่เห็นคนบนถนนทั้งสาย และความรู้สึกของเราที่ชอบหรือเกลียดอาจทำให้เราคำนวณพลาด
พอถึงบรรทัดนี้ ท่านใดสามารถคำนวณอย่างเป็นวิทยาศาสตร์ได้ ช่วยเขียนมาแบ่งปันกันบ้างนะครับ
แต่ ณ นาทีนี้ เป็นช่วงสายของวันจันทร์ที่ 25 พฤศจิกายน 2556 ผมนำตัวเลขที่สื่อต่างประเทศรายงานเกี่ยวกับจำนวนผู้ประท้วงรัฐบาลในกรุงเทพ บางสื่อก็อ้างแหล่งข่าวในเมืองไทย แต่สื่อใดจะเลือกอ้างแหล่งข่าวใด เราก็ไปกะเกณฑ์เขาไม่ได้ ส่วนสื่อใดระบุตัวเลขเอง เราก็ไม่รู้ว่าเขาใช้หลักอย่างไรในการคำนวณ
