ถ้าท่านคลิกหน้าเว็บ หรือ พลิกหน้าหนังสือ ที่สอนการสนทนาภาษาอังกฤษ จะพบว่า เขาแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภทใหญ่ ๆ คือ

→ ประเภทที่ 1:
แบ่งการสนทนาตามสถานการณ์ต่าง ๆ และรวบรวมวลีหรือประโยคที่มักใช้พูดตามสถานการณ์นั้นๆ นี่เรียกว่าเอาสถานการณ์เป็นตัวตั้ง เช่น ที่ 4 เว็บนี้ (ซึ่งมีภาษาไทยแปลแนบไว้ให้ด้วย)

→ ประเภทที่ 2:
เอาคำเป็นตัวตั้ง คือ เขาจะคัดเลือกคำที่เจอบ่อย-ใช้บ่อย มาให้เราเรียน โดยให้ความหมาย-คำแปล พร้อมประโยคตัวอย่างง่าย ๆ โดยเขาหวังว่า เมื่อเราฝึกอ่าน ฝึกฟัง –ฝึกพูดตาม จนเข้าใจ เมื่อถึงเวลาที่เราไปเจอสถานการณ์ใด ๆ ก็ตาม เราก็จะสามารถนำคำพวกนี้ไปใช้พูดแต่งประโยคได้

ผมเห็นว่า ทั้ง 2 ประเภท ต่างก็มีข้อดีของมัน เราก็น่าจะฝึกทั้ง 2 ประเภท แต่อาจจะฝึกมาก-ฝึกน้อยต่างกัน ตามความชอบของเรา

จับผิดภาษาอังกฤษ โดยโจทย์ไม่บอกว่าผิดตรงไหน… เชิญท่านที่แน่ลองเข้าพิสูจน์

หลาบท่านคงคุ้นเคยกับข้อสอบประเภท error identification ที่โจทย์จะให้มา 1 ประโยค แล้วขีดเส้นใต้ 4 จุด คือ A B C D แล้วให้เราชี้ว่าจุดไหนผิด มีเสียงบ่นว่าข้อสอบประเภทนี้ยาก เพราะมองไม่เห็นเลยว่าจุดไหนผิด
อาจารย์ยุทธนาก็ทำข้อสอบแบบนี้เป็นโปรแกรมออกมาแล้ว 2 ชุด คลิกดู
วันนี้ผมหาข้อสอบทำนองนี้มาให้ท่านที่ชอบได้ลองทำอีก แต่เอาที่มันโหดขึ้นไปอีก คือโจทย์ให้มา 1 ประโยคหรือ 1 ตอน แต่ไม่บอกว่าตรงไหนผิด ให้ท่านหาเองและบอกด้วยว่าผิดยังไง ต้องแก้ยังไงถึงจะถูก อันนี้โหดขนานแท้ครับ
ในหนังสือพิมพ์แต่ละฉบับ จะมีตำแหน่งหนึ่ง คือ sub-editor (คลิกดูหน้าที่)โดย sub-editor เมื่อรับข่าวจากผู้สื่อข่าว ก่อนจะตีพิมพ์ จะมีหน้าที่สำคัญอันหนึ่งคือตรวจให้แน่ใจว่า ไม่ใช้ศัพท์ผิด, สะกดไม่ผิด, ไม่ตก ไม่หล่น ไม่เกิน และไม่ผิดแกรมมาร์

ผมเพิ่งอ่านเจอว่าเมื่อ 27 August 2015 ดิก Oxford เพิ่มคำศัพท์ใหม่ ประมาณ 1000 คำ คลิก
ผมยังไม่ได้ศึกษาอะไรมากมายครับ แต่ได้นำศัพท์บางคำที่เพิ่มมาแปะให้ท่านดูข้างล่างนี้
