ศัพท์ที่พูดแล้ว ทำให้ดูดีมีระดับ

eBook คำศัพท์ 2 เล่มที่ผมนำมาฝากในวันนี้เขาบอกว่า เป็นคำศัพท์ที่นำไปพูดแล้วจะทำให้คนพูดดูดีมีระดับ เป็นคนคงแก่เรียน หรือดูสมาร์ทขึ้นมาทันที ผมเข้าไปดูแล้วก็เห็นว่า ศัพท์มันค่อนข้างยาก แต่ก็มีหลายคำที่เจอบ่อย ๆ ในบทความหรือข่าว ผมไม่กะให้ท่านดูทุกคำหรอกครับ เอาอย่างนี้แล้วกันครับ ท่านเข้าไปที่สารบัญและคลิกดูบางบท บางตัวอักษร และไล่ดูเนื้อหาในบทนั้นไปเรื่อย ๆ ถ้าเจอศัพท์ที่ท่านคุ้นเคยก็ลองอ่านสักหน่อย
ศัพท์พวกนี้ถ้าเราคุ้นเคยกับคำไหน เราจะไม่เห็นว่ามันเป็นศัพท์สูงหรือศัพท์ยาก แต่เราจะรู้สึกว่า เออ! มันก็เป็นศัพท์ธรรมดาที่คนเค้าก็ใช้กัน
วิธีทำให้ศัพท์ที่ไม่รู้จักพวกนี้กลายเป็นศัพท์ที่คุ้นเคยมีอยู่วิธีเดียวคือ ต้องเห็นมันบ่อย ๆ ในประโยคภาษาอังกฤษที่เราอ่าน ซึ่งผมขอแนะว่าให้ท่าน → ติดตั้ง add-on Longman Dictionary และก็คลิกดูความหมายและประโยคตัวอย่างศัพท์คำนั้นบ่อย ๆ
ในการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษ ถ้าเราเปิดใจให้กว้าง ๆ พร้อมที่จะเรียนรู้เรื่องที่ไม่รู้จัก ไม่คุ้นเคย ไม่เคยพบ ไม่เคยเห็น เราก็จะได้เจอเรื่องใหม่เรื่อย ๆ ซึ่งก็หมายความว่า ภาษาอังกฤษช่วยนำเนื้อหาใหม่ ๆ ของโลกมาสู่ชีวิตของเรา

เรียน phrasal verb จาก story
เท่าที่เคยเห็น เว็บสอนภาษาอังกฤษส่วนใหญ่จะสอน phrasal verb ผ่านประโยคตัวอย่าง แต่ผมเจอบางเว็บที่สอน phrasal verb ผ่าน story หรือ article ซึ่งน่าสนใจมาก แต่เว็บพวกนี้ผมหาไม่ค่อยเจอ

ฝึกอ่านภาษาอังกฤษกับ "ข่าวแปลก ๆ ขำ ๆ"
ผมเข้าใจว่าทุกท่านคงชอบเรื่องขำขันไม่มากก็น้อย เพราะขำขันภาษาอังกฤษนั้น นอกจากอ่านแล้วสนุกดี ไม่เครียด ยังได้ฝึกภาษาอังกฤษอีกด้วย และในเว็บ e4thai.com ก็จัดไว้ให้มากพอสมควร

เรื่องขำนี่นะครับ บางทีเราอ่านแล้วไม่ขำ เพราะเส้นขำของคนต่างภาษา ต่างวัฒนธรรม ต่างนิสัย อาจจะไม่ตรงกัน เลยขำไม่ตรงกัน เพราะฉะนั้นเมื่อท่านอ่านเรื่องขำแล้วไม่ขำ ก็ช่างมันครับ ไม่ต้องคิดมาก
และผมมาคิดดูอีกที บางคนอาจจะไม่ชอบเรื่องขำ เพราะเห็นว่าเป็นเรื่องไม่จริง ไร้สาระ ผมเลยคิดได้ถึงข่าวขำ ๆ ซึ่งเป็นการอ่านเรื่องจริง(เป็นส่วนใหญ่) และข่าวขำ ๆ ก็เกิดขึ้นทั่วโลกทุกวัน เราก็เลือกอ่านข่าวขำที่เราสนใจ ข่าวไหนที่เราไม่สนใจก็ไม่ต้องไปอ่านมัน
และข่าวขำก็เหมือนกับเรื่องขำ คือเราอาจจะไม่ได้รู้สึกขำในทุกข่าวที่เราอ่าน ก็เลือกอ่านแล้วกันครับ ไม่ต้องไปอ่านทุกข่าว
ข่าวขำนี้ อาจจะใช้คำทำนองนี้ คือ odd, weird, strange, crazy, funny, เป็นต้น
ผมหามาให้ท่านอ่านดูข้างล่างนี้ ลองโฉบ ๆ เข้าไปอ่านดูสักหน่อยซีครับ

ศึกษาศัพท์ข่าวเป็นหมวด ๆ ที่ BANGKOK POST LEARNING
